Campus & facilities

Longley Park Sixth Form College opened in September 2004 in brand new, purpose-built facilities. The buildings have been designed by internationally renowned architects Ellis Williams, who also designed the Baltic Centre in Newcastle. The aim from the start has been to create a world class environment for post-16 learning which will give you access to the very best facilities and equipment.

Café

At the heart of the building is an imaginatively designed plaza with a café and social space. Open throughout the day, the café serves freshly prepared hot and cold food including vegetarian and halal options. Drinks and snacks are also available.

Sports facilities

Students studying Sports courses at Longley Park Sixth Form College have access to excellent facilities in College and externally. We have a partnership with Sheffield International Venues to base our Sports provision at Concord Sports Centre where students have access to the all-weather surfaces and extensive indoor facilities at this local venue. The College also has a fantastic on-site gym for students and staff to use with both cardio and resistance machines and free weights area.

Multi Faith Room

The College has a Multi Faith Room for staff and students of all faiths to use. The Room is open for daily prayers and includes male and female sections. The College also offers weekly Friday prayers in a bigger hall area and a monthly prayer timetable.

Independent Learning Centre

The College’s purpose built ILC provides the perfect environment for you to study and learn. You will receive an induction to the ILC at the start of the year and we will continue to work with teaching staff to provide guidance in research and information skills, as and when you need it.
