Academic Tutor

37 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 39 weeks

Grade 5 £27,803 - £30,296 (to be pro-rata based on 39 weeks)

We are recruiting for the role of Academic Tutor. You will be supporting students in their studies through our Academic Tutorial programme, designed to ensure all our students stretch their potential. The role will be varied, exciting and at the heart of our plans to support our students achieve their ambitions.

Candidates for the roles will have a flexible approach to supporting students and be able to work creatively with them to help them get the most out of their time at Longley Park. The role has a clear focus on tracking and monitoring students and working with teachers and other staff to ensure students remain on course to achieve their goals and have a positive progression destination.

Experience of working with young people, particularly those with barriers to their learning, general educational qualifications at Level 3 and good communication and organisational skills are needed.

The role is a part of the Sixth Form’s Student Achievement Team, which has responsibility for tracking and monitoring the progress of students and ensuring teachers are supporting their students to achieve.
