You will cover topics like anatomy, fitness testing, sports leadership, and sports psychology. Throughout the course you will be involved in both theoretical and practical work. You will explore sports development and become involved in community sports and organise events such as coaching sessions for school children.
Projects and assignments are designed so that you find out what it is really like to work in the industry. You will also have the opportunity to gain additional qualifications such as First Aid, Fitness Instructors qualification plus more.
Additionally, you will get amazing opportunities to visit universities and get a clear insight into the vast range of career opportunities within sports. The course allows you to explore all aspects of sports and will give you the knowledge and skills necessary to have a career in sports

Students from this course have gone on to university to study sports coaching, sports science, sport psychology, sport journalism, fitness and wellbeing, PE teaching, sports therapy and leisure management, sport development as well as employment in the sports and leisure industries.
