The emphasis is on practical work and the development of your own portfolio. Throughout the course, you will have opportunities to work alongside professional artists and designers to give you a greater understanding of the creative industries.
Details
This course will introduce you to new and exciting ways of working and developing your artistic ideas and skills. You will learn about artists and their work which will help you develop your own ideas and practice. You’ll be introduced to new challenges such as producing large scale paintings and expressive drawing styles. The main focus of the course is allowing you to develop your own ideas and style; at the end of the course you will have a portfolio of artwork you can be proud of and you will be able to confidently talk about your work at university or job interviews.

Many Longley Park Fine Art students go onto university to study an art related subject. This can lead to working in one of the many diverse and exciting jobs within the creative industry. Previous students have gone on to become Fine Artists, Graphic Designers, Teachers and Architects.
