Art, Design and Media (Visual Arts & Creative Media) - UAL Level 1 Diploma - 1 year

This course has been designed to provide students with an introduction to the creative sector. This will enable you to make informed future progression choices while developing and applying your knowledge and acquiring a range of relevant practical, communication and personal development skills.

This is a fantastic opportunity for students to learn about lots of new, fun and exciting art and media skills. You’ll be introduced to art skills such as drawing and painting, illustration, printmaking and 3D skills and also media skills such as filmmaking, animation, graphic design and storyboarding. You’ll learn how to develop your work in a sketchbook and you’ll learn how to produce large scale paintings, comic strips and your own short movies. You’ll grow with confidence and towards the end of the year, you’ll devise your own creative project which you will produce.
