Celebrating Success: Wakeel Malik Named Law Student of the Year 2026!
We are thrilled to congratulate Wakeel Malik, one of our Law alumni, on being named Law Student of the Year 2026 at Sheffield Hallam University!
Wakeel was presented with this prestigious award at the annual Hallam Law Ball on Saturday 21 March at the Crowne Plaza Royal Victoria. Sponsored by the Sheffield & District Law Society, the accolade recognises his outstanding dedication, academic excellence, and contribution to the Sheffield Hallam law community.
Reflecting on his achievement, Wakeel reached out to his Law teacher at the sixth form, Matt Goult, saying:
"I just wanted to say thank you so much for your support and guidance throughout this process, I genuinely couldn’t have achieved the award without you."
Wakeel’s father added:
"As a proud father, we as a family and community are immensely grateful for where it all began at Longley Park. It's a place that laid the foundation, nurtured growth, and helped shape the journey we are so proud of today. We will always appreciate the support, guidance, and opportunities that started it all there."
We are incredibly proud of Wakeel and can’t wait to see where his talent, hard work, and ambition take him next!
