Longley Park Sixth Form Academy – Summer Results 2026

Longley Park Students Celebrate Another Year of Strong A Level and Vocational Success

Students and staff at Longley Park Sixth Form Academy are celebrating another year of excellent achievement as learners receive their A Level, vocational and technical qualification results with an amazing 99% pass rate and 60% of students achieving high grades. An amazing 138 students achieved the highest grades across their entire set of qualifications. Across both academic and vocational pathways, students have demonstrated resilience, determination and ambition, securing outcomes that will enable them to progress to university, apprenticeships and employment.

This year, A Level students achieved an impressive pass rate, with more than 36% of grades awarded at A, A or B*. Strong performances were seen across a range of subjects, including Law, Psychology, English Language, Sociology, 3D Design, Mathematics and Biology and Chemistry. Students in Business, Economics and Criminology also secured excellent results, reflecting the strength and breadth of the curriculum at Longley Park. Extending their learning, we saw78% of our Extended Project Students achieving high grades with some inspiring projects.

Particularly impressive outcomes were achieved in A Level Law, where 57% of students achieved high grades (A*-B), English Language with 50% high grades, and Sociology, where almost half of all grades were awarded at A*-B. Creative subjects continued to flourish, with students in Photography and 3D Design producing work of an exceptionally high standard.

Vocational qualifications once again delivered outstanding results. Across all Extended Diploma programmes, students achieved a pass rate of 99.6%, with over 73% achieving high grades and almost 97% securing Merit or above. The strongest performances were seen in Applied Science, where more than 86% of students achieved top grades, and Health and Social Care, where almost 80% secured the highest outcomes available.

The academy's Extended Certificate programmes maintained a 100% overall pass rate, with two-thirds of students achieving high grades and more than 93% securing Merit or above. Applied Law with 90% high grades, Computing with 86% high grades), IT and Health & Social Care all recorded particularly strong outcomes.

Creative vocational pathways also continued to excel. Students studying UAL Extended Diplomas in Art & Design and Game Art & Design achieved a 100% pass rate, with 88% securing Merit or above. Technical education remained a major success story, with the T Level in Education and Early Years achieving a 100% pass rate, and the majority of students attaining Distinction or Merit grades.
