We are now seeking an exceptional Additional Learning Support and Access Arrangements Manager to lead and develop our highly valued Additional Learning Support provision. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced SEND professional to make a lasting difference to the lives of young people, ensuring every student receives the support they need to thrive, succeed and progress.

About the Role

This is a pivotal leadership role within the academy. You will lead our Additional Learning Support team, ensuring high-quality support for students with additional needs, while also taking responsibility for the coordination and assessment of examination access arrangements in line with JCQ requirements.

Working closely with senior leaders, curriculum staff, parents, carers, local authorities and external agencies, you will play a key role in creating an inclusive learning environment where barriers are removed and aspirations are raised.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing and developing a dedicated team of Additional Learning Support professionals.
  • Ensuring effective support plans and interventions are in place to maximise student achievement, retention and progression.
  • Coordinating EHCP reviews and transition arrangements into and beyond Longley Park.
  • Championing inclusive practice across the academy and supporting staff to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Leading the assessment and implementation of examination access arrangements, ensuring compliance with JCQ regulations and awarding body requirements.
  • Contributing to quality improvement and strategic development within Additional Learning Support.

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable professional who shares our belief that every student can achieve their potential when given the right support and opportunities.

You will bring:

  • Experience of successfully leading SEND or Additional Learning Support provision.
  • A recognised SENCO or Access Arrangements Assessor qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, statutory guidance and inclusive practice.
  • Experience of leading and motivating teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration and innovation.
  • A student-centred approach and a determination to ensure every learner can flourish.
