Overview

Throughout the course you will explore a wide range of fundamental design skills providing you with the tools needed to be in control of your own design future. The course focuses on three main areas of design (Architecture, Interior and Product Design) however there are many other areas that you may wish to explore throughout the course.  You will have opportunities to work alongside professional designers to give you a greater understanding of the creative industries.

Themes covered are:

• Skills Project - Introduction to all the key skills

• Mock Component Two Project - simulate the final exam project and to give an early experience of working to exam criteria.

• Component One prep – Reflection & Preparation

• Component One – Student led Project

• Component Two – Exam Project

A number of specifications will be changing and prospectus entries are based on information we have to date. This means that course content may be subject to change.

Component 1    -    60% (portfolio of work and essay)

Component 2    -    40% (portfolio of work and exam)
