Details
This qualification is now the must-have qualification and leads to a licence to practise and the status of being an Early Years Educator. It will enable you to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years.
You will also have the opportunity to gain additional qualifications such as Paediatric First Aid. This is a work-related course so work placements are a key part of your study. You will take part in placements working with children of different ages in a variety of settings for two days per week as ell as longer block placements during the year.
A number of specifications will be changing and prospectus entries are based on information we have to date. This means that course content may be subject to change.
How will it be delivered?
Assignments, portfolio tasks, case studies, externally controlled assessments, reflective diaries and observations.
What can I do next?
Upon achievement of this qualification learners will be able to enter the workforce as Early Years Educators or access Higher Education. Job roles in the statutory, voluntary or private sectors include early year's practitioner in day nurseries, nursery schools, pre=school worker, community nursery nurses and nanny.
