This course allows you to find out what goes on behind the scenes of media production, as well as looking at the ways in which the media try to influence you.
You will investigate the ways in which the television, film, web and publishing industries work, learn to analyse media texts, and produce practical projects using media. You will have access to our state of the art specialist equipment to support practical work, including a suite of high-spec Apple iMacs and a MacBook Pros, green-screen, 3D screening, digital SLR cameras and professional video-editing software.

Examinations + coursework
The range of practical and analytical skills developed during the course make A Level Media Studies an excellent preparation for higher education courses in any area. If you want to specialise there are a wide range of higher education media courses available, leading to employment opportunities in public relations, journalism, advertising, radio, film, television and digital media.
